How to see which of your Facebook posts went “viral”
Last week, Facebook introduced new Insights for Pages. Take a moment to look at them if you haven’t already. I particularly like the Virality metric because it can helpful in determining what goes viral on your page. “Viral” is a very abstract term but Facebook has done a good job with concretely defining it.
According to Facebook, Virality is “the number of unique people who have created a story from your Page Post as a percentage of the number of unique people who’ve seen it.” In other words, how many fans shared a post right off your page.
Since you’re able to sort them in ascending/descending order, you’ll be able to see which of your posts in the last 28 days were the most engaging and which were duds. Over time, you might start to see trends or patterns about your Facebook audience that may surprise you.
What do you think of Facebook’s new insights?
