‘Spygate’ Never Goes Away
In his excellent blog Newsday’s Neil Best has some good quotes from Fox Sports Jay Glazer. Glazer tells about how he’s been pressured to give up the source of the now infamous tape that shows a member of the Patriots staff video taping the Jets defensive signals.
Glazer labeled it a “witch hunt” by the NFL to try to uncover the source of the tape.
“They started going after the wrong people, people were pointing fingers at everybody,” he said. “They had no clue.”
Glazer told his bosses at Fox Sports Chairman David Hill and President Ed Goren he would lie to them if they forced him to give up a name. So far they haven’t, and he hasn’t.
