I have watched Matthews for more than a decade and not only does he not have a racist bone in his body, I have seen him tear up on civil rights issues while talking about MLK and the Kennedys. He only meant that we have come so far in this country in such a short year that we don’t see color anymore; we just see this articulate, intelligent man fighting for our rights.”
