Up next Oslo, Norway. The picture up there is the Aurora Borealis also known as the Northern Lights in the sky above Oslo. Unfortunately, they most often occur from September to October and from March to April.
Oslo is the most expensive city in the world, so in the interest of not breaking the bank, Gridskipper provides the following list of places to do Oslo on the cheap:
 Nasjonalgalleriet Museum
Laksen Fisk & Vilt Fish Market
 Tandoori Curry Corner
 Dovrehallen
 Fretex store
 Bare Jazz
 John’s Bar
 Art Bed & Breakfast
Astrup Fearnley Museet for Moderne Kunst: (Damien Hirst, Cindy Sherman, Jeff Koons, and Andy Warhol, among many well-known locals.)
 Saigon Lille Cafe
Nasjonalgalleriet: The National Museum for Art, Architecture, and Design.
 Vigeland Sculpture Park
 Ark Pocket
Bit (Food)
The New York Times talks a walk down main street Oslo and offers up some fine suggestions as well.
We leave Oslo on Tuesday the 8th and on one of the biggest highlights of the trip, we take a ride on the Bergan Railway, Northern Europe’s highest-altitude railway line. The trip was voted one of the top 20 train rides in the world.
We will take the Bergan line to Voss, take a short bus ride from Voss to Gudvangen, from there take a boat and board the Flam Railway.
The 20-km-long ride from the mountain station of Myrdal down to Flam, down beside the fjord, takes about 55 minutes. Along the way there are some of the most magnificent mountain scenery in Norway and an ever changing panorama of tall mountains and cascading waterfalls. The train moves slowly and stops at the best views.
We spend the next two nights in Flam, which I will take on next.

WOW, Enjoy dude and be safe.
