BREAKING NEWS: NFL: Rash Of Positive Steroid Tests, Suspensions Looming
Josina Anderson of FOX 31 in Denver is reporting that a highly-placed NFL source told her that there have been a “…rash of positive tests under the steroid policy as a result of players taking water pills to lose weight.”
The only two players named so far are members of the New Orleans Saints: Running back Deuce McAllister and defensive end Will Grant.
There are reportedly 6-10 players suspended, with three to four… of them being Saints.
McAllister and Smith reportedly tested positive for bumetanide, a “water pill” which can be used to mask the presence of other drugs or steroids.
If the reports are true and the players fail to successfully appeal, each would be facing a four-game suspension. - FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS
