“Can the right please stop complaining about media bias? You ARE the media.”

Media bias, with respect to TV programming, is not determined by the amount of viewers a particular network attracts. Media bias is determined by the number of networks who unanimously lean toward a certain side, leaving the other side at a gross disadvantage. FNC is the lone network that leans to the right (as far as its commentators is concerned), with every other network in the tank for the left, and that’s media bias?

Sometimes I suspect some on the left would be happy with every single network leaning to the left. Trust me, that would be a very, very scary thing.

FNC’s responsible hard news coverage (Bret Baier, Shepard Smith, etc) also has to do with its massive audience.

The right owns radio and cable news, the left owns the three major networks. Nobody listens to Air America, which is the only left leaning radio station worth mentioning. MSNBC and Fox are in no way, shape or form unbiased. I’ve watched the major networks lately and they’re all critical of the administration, just as they were with Clinton.

You’ve got Rush, Hannity, Ann Coulter, Michael Savage, and Bill O’Reilly.

The left has….Keith Olberman and Rachel Maddow? C’mon, it’s not even close.

Question: Where were the left leaning talking heads prior to Keith Olbermann?

Phil Donahue? Oh yeah, he opposed the Iraq war so he was dumped. Chris Matthews is not someone the right used to complain about until his most recent infatuation with Obama. Paul Begala had a stint on the now defunct CNN Crossfire. But CNN never gave a show to a strong voiced liberal like O’Reilly or Hannity are for the right. The left might actually hold the majority in the media (not really sure about that) but not until very recent have there been voices that anyone could seriously consider strong. The so called liberal media bias was tough to find on the cable news front until now.
