High-res Representative Jim McDermott (D - WA) says it is “doubtful” he will vote for the debt ceiling bill, adding: “Sen. McConnell said his one goal was to make Pres. Obama a one term President. He said that right out in the open, and that is what this has always been about. And they now have a deal in the Senate. And John Boehner has proved that he can get 217, or 216, 218, votes and we’ll see if it passes. He is gonna have a heart-to-heart, come to Jesus talk with his Tea-Baggers and he’s gonna have to say, ‘Look you guys, we got all we could possibly get out this. You get up and vote for this. And then they’re gonna have to go home and explain to people that, ‘Well, I went to Washington, and I learned that it wasn’t like I thought it was.’”  (Emphasis mine. Yes, I laughed)
