After Yauch passed away at age 47 last week, the Boys’ Licensed to Ill hits the iTunes chart at Number Six and sells 19,000 copies, enough for Number 18 on the overall Billboard chart.

Remix: ‘All the President’s Men’ vs. the Beastie Boys’ ‘Sabotage’

“I can’t stand it, I know you planned it, I’m gonna set it straight, this Watergate,” begins the Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage.” All the President’s Boys is one of those perfect remixes that works so well, you can’t believe you didn’t think of it first. Editor Jeff Yorkes “cinemashup” of footage from All the President’s Men nails it.

Going out to Sarah Palin… “Paul Revere” Beastie Boys

I only made it two weeks on tour. I remember New Orleans because I got really drunk— drunker than I’d ever been in my entire life. I drank all the Beastie Boys under the table.

That’s Molly Ringwald in this week’s New York. She dated Ad Rock, who apparently courted her by sending her his number through a producer. That move might be even more disappointing than imagining the Boys being drank under the table by Claire Standish. At the time, Ad-Rock was claiming that he could make women smile from White Castle to the Nile.
