As part of a unique promotion for the 2nd season of Boardwalk Empire, HBO is running a vintage 1920s subway train on the 2/3 line in New York City.
NO! I MISS MANHATTAN! I MISS BROOKLYN! I WANNA GO HOME! AND RIDE THESE TRAINS!
The HBO show “Boardwalk Empire” is really going old school. Vintage trains reminiscent of the 1920s will be running in New York City throughout the month of September to kick off the new season of the hit show. “Starting on Saturday, September 3rd an authentic vintage 1920’s train will run on the express 2/3 track in Manhattan throughout September (specifically, from 12 to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays).” So if you are in the area, don’t miss this opportunity to be transported back in time.

This is why I love Boardwalk Empire
Last episode’s story had Nucky leave Atlantic City for Chicago to attend the 1920 Republican National Convention where we saw one of the nominees Warren G. Harding introduced. After tonight’s episode I fully appreciate the subtle history lessons the show gives us while developing the story line.
Every week it’s something new and this time everyone who was watching the show wanted to know more about Warren G Harding and the 1920 presidential nomination and so after the show ended, everyone who wanted more information went straight to Google and searched for “Warren G Harding”. First result being the wikipedia article - statistics don’t lie.
edit: Second reason I love Boardwalk Empire is because Shooter McGavin plays Harry M. Daugherty, Harding’s campaign manager (wiki stats included)
