Just before the famous Abbey Road photo was taken, The Beatles were photographed on the sidewalk waiting to cross the street. (via Abbey sidewalk)
Lucy O’Donnell Vodden, the inspiration behind The Beatles song ‘Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds’ passed away on Sunday at the age of 46 at St. Thomas’ Hospital in London after a long battle with lupus.
The inspiration came one day back in 1966 when John Lennon’s young son Julian came home from nursery school with a drawing of his classmate Lucy O’Donnell that he said was “Lucy in the sky with diamonds.”
I also love this version of “If I Fell.”
(The harmonies in the original are beautiful, too.)
