Interesting answer from Gibbs but Stewart has yet to trash Obama’s speech. The Daily Show is taped at 7pm. Stewart always references, as he did last night, when something big is scheduled to be addressed after the taping of his show.

Vice President Joe Biden got a little over-enthusiastic at the health care signing ceremony Tuesday.

Biden shook hands with and hugged President Obama after introducing him and praising his resolve in the fight. He then leaned in toward the president’s ear to say something, but the mic was still on and caught his words.

“This is a big fucking deal!” he told Obama…

Biden’s comment was clearly audible and noticed by many. And White House chief spokesman Robert Gibbs didn’t pretend otherwise.

And yes Mr. Vice President, you’re right…” he wrote on Twitter minutes later.

I don’t know why they’d feel uncomfortable, they made the decision. Look, the president disagreed, and polls show 80 percent of the country disagrees with that decision. The president would have said that in that room had they been sitting in that row or not been there at all.
